For many of you, this may be your first time hearing the names Forest Woodward and David Hancock, but I promise you it won’t be your last. This rough and tough duo has been tromping around rugged Montana wilderness for quite some years now taming buffalo, wrangling grizz and breaking hearts. I recently had the pleasure of joining them for one of these very adventures while on assignment for Agloves.
When Forest is not hiding from old Johny Law out in the Bob Marshal Wilderness, you will find him jet setting all over the world shooting lifestyle photography for global brands such as Patagonia, OR, Camel Back, Black Diamond and Agloves. And when David Hancock isn’t melting hearts with his Jeremiah Johnson meets the Marlboro Man meets the Man from Snowy River good looks and charm… well, he’s always doing that. I knew it would be risky joining these two in their natural habitat, but the potential for epic photographs for the release of Agloves’ brand new Heavy Duty with Grip Touch™ Gloves was well worth the risk.
We hit the road for two short days in a rented Suzuki hatchback with nothing but a cowboy hat, a pick ax, and a dream. We ate when we got hungry, slept when we were tired and found some of the most amazing locations in the world to photograph David with his Agloves. Did we succeed? Well, that’s for you to decide. All I know is that we found a piece of the old west out there, and Forest and David decided to stay. I am just glad we have some of the photographs to prove it.
This one goes out to you fellas – shootin, lootin and (g)lovin.
